Back in Moscow - Saturday
We got back on the train and Andrei and Sasha had so much fun visiting each other’s cars. Then Andrei started feeling kind of sick so we put him to bed.
The rest of the train ride was uneventful, and we arrived back in Moscow the next morning.
We went back to Marina’s house and she fed us breakfast and we waited around until we could call our apartment manager to have early check-in.
Dima took us grocery shopping and then we went to the apartment. The apartment warrants its own post...
After we unpacked and started some laundry, I made dinner which was kind of a joke. I got all the ingredients for fajitas. But I neglected to get any type of spice at all. Also, there was no frying pan in the apartment, so I had to cook it all in pots. So we had tortillas with plain ground beef, plain sauteed peppers, and monterey jack cheese. But we were so hungry we just didn’t care.
I had to get some water so I ventured to the grocery store that Dima had pointed out across the street. I was so paranoid to cross the street so I just waited until there was another person and I rushed right after them. The grocery store had everything behind a counter and you had to ask for it. I chickened out so I just left. I noticed a kiosk outside the store, so I picked out some water, potato chips, and M&Ms and managed to get out without looking too dumb.
We watched some more TV and then decided it was time for Andrei’s bed. Actually I think it was about 6 but it gets dark so early we couldn’t really tell. And half the clocks are an hour off.
So we put him in his pajamas (my Tshirt) and put him in his bedroom. That lasted about five minutes. He was all jacked up and would not calm down. Brent and I both tried to keep him there which resulted in him crying for the first time since we met him. That resulted in me crying. I gave up and let Brent handle it, since he calmed down when Brent was around. After a while Brent came in and said he didn’t think Andrei would sleep in there so we pulled him into our room and we all piled on the bed and fell asleep.
